Overhead cable features advantages

Overhead insulated cable is an overhead conductor with an insulating layer and a protective sheath. It is a kind of special cable made by using the production technology similar to cross-linked cable. It is a new transmission mode between overhead conductor and underground cable. Aerial cables are single core, according to their different structures can be divided into hard aluminum wire structure, hard drawn copper wire structure, aluminum alloy wire structure, steel or aluminum alloy core support structure and self-supporting three core weave structure (wire core can be hard aluminum or hard copper wire). It has the main characteristics of high power supply reliability, good power supply security, easy erection and maintenance and reasonable economy. The main technical parameters include weatherability, insulation level, inner and outer semi-conductive shielding layer.

Overhead cable is widely used in power transmission at home and abroad.

1) The cross arm distance can be shortened, the distance between wires can be reduced, the inductance of overhead line is smaller than the original system, so that the voltage drop per unit length is reduced;
